Leave a Lasting Legacy
Consider including Lancaster Elks Lodge #134 in your estate plans.
A legacy gift to the Lodge is a meaningful way to support our mission and ensure the continued care, stewardship, and improvement of our historic home at 219 N. Duke Street for future generations.
Estate gifts can be as simple as adding a sentence to your will or trust. Whether you’re just getting started with your estate planning or already have documents in place, there are easy ways to leave a lasting impact.
How You Can Give
You may choose to designate:
- A specific dollar amount
- A percentage of your estate or trust
- A particular asset (such as stocks, bonds, or real estate)
- The residue of your estate (what remains after other distributions)
“I give, devise, and bequeath [amount or asset] to Lancaster Elks Lodge #134, 219 N. Duke Street, Lancaster, PA.”
If you already have a will, this can be added with a simple codicil (a brief legal amendment), which must be witnessed by two people and notarized.
How Your Gift Will Be Used
All estate gifts will be designated for capital improvements, emergency repairs, or major Lodge projects—never for day-to-day operating expenses. Your contribution ensures the long-term stability and success of our Lodge.
Have Questions?
We strongly encourage you to consult your attorney for guidance in drafting or updating your estate plans. For additional information, feel free to speak with any of the Lodge officers.
Thank you for considering a legacy gift. Your generosity will help keep the spirit of the Elks alive for years to come.
